Hosted by the Psychosocial Safety Climate Global Observatory, the PhD Thinkers Program is an interactive 2-day workshop discussing innovative interdisciplinary research, collaborative strategies and sharing expert insights into academia.
This year’s session invites women researchers from across disciplines to come together and explore new directions for tackling stress and burnout in the workplace. Through shared dialogue and creative exchange, we’ll spark innovative research ideas and lay the groundwork for future collaborations.
Throughout the program you will have the opportunity to network and build links with other Australian women PhD candidates, develop skills in interdisciplinary creative thinking and methodological approaches, boost career advancement and your future academic endeavours. You will build a strong network with the PhD Thinkers from the highly successful 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 programs!
You will learn critical research strategies and how to generate ARC research grants. Workshops and presentations will be led by an expert research team (ARC Laureate Fellow, Professor Maureen Dollard), interdisciplinary project experts and you will be introduced to UniSA’s 2025 Thinker in Residence, esteemed Anna Booth, the Fair Work Ombudsman in Australia.

Applications to join the workshop are competitive and places are limited. To be selected as a PhD Thinker, applicants must be currently enrolled at minimum in their second year as a PhD candidate in Australia. PhD Thinkers will be selected from diverse disciplines. You must also upload an up-to-date academic CV.
